A private party lives or dies on whether people actually dance, and that is a harder thing to guarantee than most bands admit. AfroSync reads the room in real time, easing in while guests arrive and drinks flow, then pushing the tempo once the floor is ready. Afrobeat, reggae and soul give a mixed-age crowd something everyone finds a way into.
Well hosted means you are not managing the entertainment on the night. The band arrives, sets up its own full PA and lighting, and runs two live sets with a curated DJ playlist between them so the sound never drops. You get to be a guest at your own party rather than a stage manager.
For high-profile or private homes, discretion is the point. AfroSync is comfortable with confidential events and NDAs are available on request. Marimba, mbira and talking drum come out for the standout moments, and the trio or the full fronted show with May flexes to the size and feel of the room.

- That is the aim. Our blend of Afrobeat, jazz, reggae and soul gives a mixed-age room plenty of ways in, and we read the floor as we play, adjusting tempo and feel. The groove tends to reach people who thought they were sitting the night out.
