Questions & answers
Everything you need to know about booking AfroSync. Can’t find your answer? Send us a note and we’ll reply within 4 working hours.
How much does it cost to hire AfroSync?
Every quote is tailored to your event, so pricing is on enquiry. The cost depends on your chosen line-up, the date, the location, timings and guest numbers. Send us your date through the enquiry form and we reply within 4 working hours with a clear, tailored quote.
What areas do you cover, and do you travel?
AfroSync is based in the South East and performs across London, Kent, the wider South East, UK-wide and internationally. Travel beyond the South East may be quoted separately, and we regularly play destination weddings and events further afield.
What line-ups can we book?
Two options. The AfroSync Trio is our instrumental three-piece: piano, saxophone and djembe, with traditional African instruments (marimba, mbira and talking drum) for standout moments. AfroSync feat. May adds lead vocalist May for the full fronted show. An All-Day Experience covers your ceremony or drinks reception through to the evening.
How long do you perform?
A typical booking is two live sets with a curated DJ playlist between and around them, so the music never stops. Set lengths are flexible and planned around your running order. The All-Day Experience includes an acoustic daytime set plus full evening sets.
What kind of music do you play?
Afrobeat, jazz, reggae and soulful grooves, from Fela Kuti energy to jazz sophistication and reggae warmth. It works for a black-tie corporate gala, a luxury wedding or a private party, and above all it fills the floor.
Can you learn a special song, like a first dance?
Yes. A bespoke arrangement of a key song, such as a wedding first dance, is available on request with the feat. May and All-Day options. Share the song when you enquire and we will talk through how we would approach it.
Do you provide PA and lighting?
Yes. A professional PA sound system and performance lighting are included as standard, along with pre-event planning so set-up runs smoothly at your venue.
How do we book, and what is the deposit?
Send your date through the enquiry form for a tailored quote. A simple booking agreement and a 25% deposit secure your date, with the balance due 28 days before the event.
Are you insured, and do you have PAT-tested equipment?
Yes. AfroSync is fully insured with £10m Public Liability cover and all equipment is PAT certified. We are also happy to sign NDAs for confidential and high-profile events.
