Who we are
AfroSync is a live band available for hire across the UK and Europe, operating through syncafro.com. We are the data controller for the personal information you share with us. For any question about your data, contact us at afrosync@outlook.com.
What we collect
We only collect the details you choose to give us through our enquiry and quote forms. This can include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Details about your event (type, date, venue or location, guest numbers and any notes you add)
We also collect anonymous usage data (such as pages visited) through website analytics, to understand how the site is used and improve it. This does not identify you personally.
Why we use it
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a tailored quote, and arrange and deliver your booking if you go ahead. Our lawful basis is to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to genuine booking enquiries. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
How it is stored and shared
Your information is held securely and kept only for as long as we need it to respond to you and to keep proper records of any booking. To run the forms and reply to you, we use a small number of trusted service providers, including a form-handling service and an email delivery service. These providers process your data on our behalf and only to provide their service. We do not share your data with anyone else without your consent, unless we are required to by law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to how we use it
To exercise any of these, email afrosync@outlook.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
We use privacy-respecting website analytics to measure how the site performs. If you would prefer not to be measured, most browsers let you block analytics and cookies in their settings.
